Strengthening UK–East Africa Ties: A Day of Insight and Collaboration in Westminster

Last week, the MYT team was on-site in London, managing a high-level conference and drinks reception, followed by a private VIP dinner. The event, held in the heart of Westminster, marked the culmination of months of planning and coordination — and seeing it all come together so successfully was incredibly rewarding.

With over 400 delegates in attendance, the forum brought together a diverse and influential audience. Political leaders, including ministers and high commissioners from Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, joined senior industry figures to engage in discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral and multilateral ties. Key themes included economic growth, sustainable development, and future collaboration between the UK and East African nations.

The atmosphere throughout the day was dynamic and forward-thinking, with meaningful exchanges taking place in both formal sessions and informal networking moments.

We were fortunate to work alongside outstanding venue teams to deliver a seamless experience. At One Great George Street, the professionalism and support on the ground played a crucial role in the event’s success. The evening concluded with a VIP dinner at The English Grill at The Rubens at the Palace, where impeccable service created a warm and elegant setting for deeper conversation and connection.
