MYT’s 2020 Journey & a Thank You Message
As this most extraordinary year draws to an end, we wanted to somehow just document in a few slides our MYT journey to share with you, our most valued clients, to say thank you for all of your support in 2020.
We started the year in January in Singapore on a site inspection looking forward with great excitement to our busiest year ever for Physical events, including the IAPB Global Assembly for 1500 delegates due to take place in Singapore in October 2020.
Then as we all know the Travel Ban hit in March and the reality of the COVID-19 pandemic became very clear within weeks and the impact this would have on Physical events for the rest of 2020 and indeed well into 2021.
By April we were suddenly faced with a very different looking diary and a very uncertain future to that of the beginning of the year. We realised we had to learn a whole new way of delivering our Meetings and Conferences. We spent April and May calling virtual platform providers and intense training took place across many virtual sites.
We would like at this point to say a big thank you to Sightsavers who trusted us to run their Programme meeting virtually for 100 delegates in early June with only a few weeks training on all things virtual!
Our confidence grew from this first virtual delivery and at the beginning of September we were able to deliver the NNN Conference for over 800 delegates from over 80 countries, with 25 sessions running over the week.
The successful delivery of these 2 early events then introduced us to many new clients who needed our help to deliver their online virtual conferences across October, November and now into December.
Unbelievably since the first lockdown in March we have successfully delivered over 30 Virtual events encompassing over 5,000 delegates across 120 countries which is something we are immensely proud of.
Last Friday we came together virtually as an MYT team to drink champagne, and reflect on the last 9 months. As we head into Christmas we are all going to take a 2 week breather so that we come back in January refreshed and ready to tackle a new year that will no doubt bring its own challenges.
Our focus for the early part of 2021 is to continue to deliver the online virtual webinars and conferences for all our clients but also to take the time to find solutions for the next phase as Virtual events start moving towards Hybrid events and back into the world of face to face meetings but bringing the 2 worlds together.
