First Annual Health Campaign Effectiveness Coalition Meeting
Tuesday 20th October – Wednesday 21st October 2020
We were thrilled to work with TaskForce on the first Annual Meeting for their new project The Health Campaign Effectiveness Coalition. The organisation convened a multitude of public health actors across all health campaigns to share knowledge, research, tools and best practices required to achieve Malaria, NTD, polio, vaccine-preventable diseases, and Vitamin A targets in the COVID-19 era.
Representatives of coordinating bodies, funding organizations, national governments and implementing organizations, in addition to researchers and analysts were welcome to attend this first of its kind virtual convening.
MYT had initial meetings with the Task Force a couple of months before the event to start planning the delivery.
We worked with a client-sourced platform which we built to the needs of the event. The First Annual Health Campaign Effectiveness Coalition Meeting featured plenary sessions and 3 concurrent streams related to the health campaign planning, implementation, and evaluation. Participants were also encouraged to submit 15 minute poster presentations and were given the opportunity to take Q&A and get feedback from the audience via Polls. Full document library with more than 30 documents was uploaded at the convenience of the attendees.
We created a registration website and managed the attendee list on a daily basis. We also assisted with attendee onboarding video and attendee “Test Your Connection” sessions to ensure attendees felt comfortable with the software used for the meeting. Event reminders were sent a week before and on the morning of the event.
Speaker rehearsals took place a week before the event started and this ensured that speakers also felt comfortable with the format of the session, the interaction tools used and of course the Zoom software which was used for the streaming of the meeting.
On the day the MYT team hosted the rooms for the sessions and ensured all ran smoothly. Any issues with login to the system or attendees unable to access the platform were sorted within minutes with the help of the dedicated MYT Support Team.
I work with Allison Snyder here at The Task Force for Global Health and MYT’s involvement in one of our program, Health Campaign Effectiveness’ meeting earlier this week. I heard positive feedback on your engagement with us.
