UKAA BTR Conference & Industry Awards 2022

On Tuesday 14^th November 2022 the UKAA Annual BTR Conference and Industry Awards took place at ETC Venues 133 Houndsditch, Liverpool Street, London. Maximize Your Time has been involved with the annual awards and the Expo in April for the last four years.

This year we made space for even more exhibitors than in 2021, with over 30 exhibitors and 23 sponsors involved in the event. We fully supported the UKAA team and newly appointed CEO Brendan Geraghty in the planning, logistics and delivery of over 25 engaging and expert sessions. In the two months prior to the event, we held weekly calls with the UKAA team to discuss, shape and plan the event. We worked together on budgets, supplier liaison, delegate management, attendee communications and speaker organisation. Anyone who’s ever been involved in the organising of an event will know it’s difficult to put in writing the extent of involvement and personal touch that’s required to deliver a professional, seamless conference.

The full day agenda tackled the most relevant topics in the BTR sector including climate change, a customer first approach, diversity, inclusivity and equitability.

Alongside the programme, an online on-the-day conference companion was built by MYT and included all 100 speaker profiles, sponsor and exhibitor information and the event floor plan.

The team were raring to go and arrived the night before to set up the venue and support exhibitors and sponsors with their stands and equipment. Pre-event checks with the AV team in the plenary room and each break out space were conducted, and we left feeling confident for the day ahead due to the additional support of the fantastic team at ETC Venues.

Facilitated by our local badge supplier a swift entry into the event was made possible by the on-demand click and print check in process. Nearly 500 attendees were welcomed and looked after by the MYT team throughout the day, who made sure everyone was where they needed to be. Attendees were well catered for with breakfast, break time cakes and snacks and a tasty, varied offering at lunch.

After a full day of networking, Q & A panels and hearing from industry experts, attendees caught up over a glass of wine, whilst the main plenary room was expertly transformed into a dinner and dancing space. Over a delicious 3 course dinner this year’s industry success was celebrated with the presenting of awards in numerous categories by the UKAA and HomeViews all whilst raising money for LandAid the property industry charity which aims to end youth homelessness in the UK.
